The Siren's Secret Launch Party

The Siren's Secret Launch Party was a success! As an author I value the power of words, and a picture is worth 1,000 of them. I have over 20 pictures to show you, so I'll let the pictures do the talking (though I couldn't resit a couple of captions). I had such a fun night, and I loved meeting so many of my readers. Thank you for your support on my journey of seeing The Siren's Secret come to life! 

Loved these sugar cookies from Kneaders. They had "SS" on them in silver, blue, and green. 

My husband. He had to transport so many books, gift baskets, and jars of candy. 10,000 brownie points goes to him for all his help! 

I loved this ensemble. Julia is a werecat tiger after all  and the tiger slippers were absolutely fitting. Why didn't I think to wear those? 

Barnes and Noble did a fantastic job getting everything ready for the launch party. The Shapeshifter's Secret and The Siren's Secret lined the back wall and it looked amazing!

The Siren's Secret on The Daily Dish!

What a fun, busy, crazy week! Monday I was on Good Things Utah, Tuesday was the official release day and The Daily Dish, Thursday I will be on Studio 5, and Saturday is The Siren's Secret Launch Party! Thanks for joining me on my whole journey from writing and editing The Siren's Secret, to finally being able to see it at Costco and Barnes & Noble!

I had a wonderful time on The Daily Dish, and I got to meet Tony Toscano from Talking Pictures! 

Can't wait for tomorrow, make sure to watch Studio 5 on KSL at 11 am! (P.s. I know I use a lot of exclamation points, but everything seems exciting enough to repeatedly use them!).

The Siren's Secret on Good Things Utah

Today is the official release day for The Siren's Secret! It's been such a great week, and yesterday I had the privilege to be on abc's Good Things Utah to talk about The Siren's Secret. Here are some of the pictures! 

Troy is a fellow author, and I had so much fun talking with him (plus he has a fabulous Australian accent!). We talked about The Shapeshifter's Secret, The Siren's Secret, and the launch party this Saturday at the Orem Barnes & Noble.

 I thought I would be nervous, but surprisingly it wasn't scary. I think I could talk about books and writing anywhere, regardless of whether or not there are cameras around! 

 And on the way out we found these guys. Damon said he can't wait to read The Siren's Secret ;)

Photography session with The Siren's Secret

 One of the first things I did last year when I received my first copies of The Shapeshifter's Secret was take a million pictures. I've done the same thing with the sequel, but now that I have two books I've gotten even worse. Both covers are so beautiful that I have to take pictures of every side and angle of the books. I can't help it! I was so excited to have both books finally unite! 

Warning: There are A LOT of cover pictures below. 

They meet at last! Shapeshifter meet Siren, Siren meet Shapeshifter. (I think they're going to be best friends). 

I loved the metallic font that they used for the inside cover, and I think the S is mesmerizing! 

As you can tell I'm very excited to put both these books on my shelf, and I hope you'll want them on your book shelf too! Thanks for bearing with me while I pretend I'm a book photographer ;)

Good Things Utah

Hey everyone, I'm going to be on Good Things Utah this Monday morning to talk about the launch party for The Siren's Secret! Make sure to watch abc channel four at 9 am this Monday!

On a somewhat related note, I just bought A LOT of blue and green candy for the launch party, and I started making the siren gift baskets for the giveaways. This is going to be a lot of fun :)

The Siren's Secret blog tour is officially over, but I do have two last lovely reviews from Min Reads and Reviews. One for The Shapeshifter's Secret, and one for The Siren's Secret. I've been a fan of Mindy and her blog for a while, and I loved finally meeting her at Authorpalooza this year. Here's a little bit of what she had to say about The Siren's Secret.

"4 1/2 stars.  Another beautiful cover.  It perfectly depicts what happens in this book.  I really, really liked The Siren's Secret.  I thought it moved fast, and was very well written.  A lot of exciting things happen in this book.  Friendship is tested, and Julia herself is trying to find out who she really is.  I was very pleased with the events in this book, and I am excited to see what happens next."

"After some rough days at school, and almost shifting in class, Julia finds out she is a werecat.  And royalty too.  All her life, it has just been her and her father.  Julia has always wanted to know about her mother, but could never bring up the subject with Lancer.  Once Julia knows the truth, she is taken away to her home country of Ossai.  Ossai can only be reached by water portals (cool, huh?).  Even getting to Ossai is dangerous.  Julia is taken to Ossai rather quickly by Caleb, the mysterious new guy in school, who has ties to her royal life. 

I really liked this book.  I think Julia is a great character and I liked her father Lancer, too."
